The Kakoty Practice - Who Do I Need to See

Appointments

appointment_1Currently our GPs/Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Practice Nurses are offering face-to-face/telephone triage. If during a telephone consultation the clinician feels you need to be seen a face-to-face will then be arranged.

Please ensure when making a telephone appointment that you are available to take the call on the day on your nominated contact number.

Minor Ailments

Local Pharmacists can treat and issue medicines.  This might be quicker and easier than booking an appointment with the doctor.

There is no need to see a doctor for:-

a cold, earache, sore throat, diarrhoea & sickness, verrucae, head lice or nappy rash.

Many items from the pharmacist or even from supermarkets can relieve above symptoms effectively. An appointment with the doctor should only be required when home remedies are not controlling the problem.

Walk-in Clinics

If you have an acute problem and you feel you it warrants an appointment, then come along to one of our walk-in clinics at Sheffield Road on:

All we ask is...

you only attend with one problem

you respect the above booking in times

otherwise we may turn you away
