If you need to see a doctor out of hours between 6.30pm and 8.00am Monday-Thursday or from 6.30pm Friday to 8.00am Monday, please ring 111.

• 4.00pm to 6.00pm (Monday-Friday)
• 9.00am to 5.00pm (Saturday)
• 8.00am-9.30pm (Sunday & Bank Holidays)

For an appointment between:

• 6.30pm to 10.30pm (Monday-Friday)
• 9.00am to 5.00pm (Saturday)
• 10.00am to 1.00pm (Sunday & Bank Holidays)

In a genuine emergency you should call 999 - Chest pains or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

i-HEART SERVICE was initially developed in 2015 to provide extended access to Primary Care services to patients registered with a Barnsley-based GP. The aim of the services was to deliver improved access medical advice, resulting in improved health outcomes.

Patients registered with a Barnsley GP can access the i-HEART service by calling the telephone number 01226 242419 between 4.00pm – 6.00pm Monday to Friday and 8.00am – 9.30am during weekends and on Bank Holidays. 

Patients requiring non-emergency medical attention should call their GP in the first instance or NHS 111 outside of the i-HEART opening hours.
