MBBS (1967) CDH, DTM&H – Languages: English, Assamese, Bengalie, Hindi Dr Kakoty has been with the Pratice since 1972. He has special interest in Paediatric medicine and Substance Misuse.
MBBS, MRCP, MD, MRCGP – Dr Joseph joined The Kakoty Practice in 2008, he specialises in long-term condition management.
Dr Ghergus has recently joined The Kakoty Practice and will be working on a full-time basis
Dr Balint has recently joined the practice and is currently working on a Monday
Helen is an Nurse Practitioner and prescribes medication and joined the practice team in November 2020. She sees patients with minor ailments from any age but is unable to issue sick notes or request x-rays/ultrasounds
Senior Nurse
RGN, Nurse Prescriber – Karen offers a broad range of long-term condition management including anticoagulant screening, cervical smears, spirometry, menopause reviews, medication reviews.
Madi completed her healthcare apprentice in September 2021 and is now a Training Nurse Assistant. She is able to do blood tests, blood pressure checks, Diabetic and Hypertension reviews. She is also responsible for doing Telederm images and New Patient Health Check, as well as the NHS health checks.
Julie has oversight of all administration and services offered by the practice.
Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.

Medicines Specialist, Qualified Pharmacist Prescriber – has a special interest in elderly care, long-term conditions and safe use of medicines. Kirtan is based part-time in the practice. Patients can book an appointment or telephone consultation with him by contacting our reception.
A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under 5 years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing. They can be contacted on 08006126221
